This vehicle was purchased to be used as a multi-purpose vehicle for the department. One of the main reseasons for this vehicle is to reduce ware and tear on our Engine and Rescue to block roads and to investigate incidents in bad weather. With the increasing age of our other apparatus and we wanted to keep the miles/hours off them and decrease the amount of salt that they see. Some of the many uses that this vehicle will be used for is initial response and investigation at an incident to assess the needed manpower and equipment for the incident at hand. Another use is going to be the second due/ back up apparatus for when the Ambulance is out of service or unavailable. It will also be used for mutual aid to other towns that just need man power and a utility for the department to move equipment and gear to and from the scene.
