CodeRED offers Weather Warning

Weather Warning is an optional feature that will automatically notify those registered- of tornado, flash flood and severe thunderstorm warnings. The alerts will be delivered by phone call, text, email or a combination of all three, based on personal preferences. Residents in the direct path of severe weather will receive alerts after a warning is issued by the National Weather Service. In the event of severe weather, this notification could save your life.

In order to receive these notifications you must choose Weather Warning when you enroll in Granville's CodeRED emergency notification system or log-in to your existing account and choose Weather Warning.

Residents now have the ability to create an account within the CodeRED system using one of the following credentials: Gmail, Facebook or Twitter. This will securely streamline and simplify the account creation portion while allowing you to log back in and edit changes to your information. You can re-register under your Gmail, Facebook or Twitter account however, you will need to contact the CodeRED client support team to delete your existing account. They can be reached Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm at (866) 939-0911.

CodeRED offers a mobile app, which is a free download, for Android and iPhone devices

The app will serve as an additional tool to help inform the community and visitors about important information that may impact their safety. Residents who have enrolled in the CodeRED system will continue to receive voice calls, text messages and emails. However, the app is designed to keep users safe and informed while on the go. If you have the app downloaded and are in an affected area of an alert, a notification will be sent through the app to alert you of the issue. All residents and business owners are encouraged to download the free app to receive alerts based on the geo-location of your phone.
